Sometimes first impressions can be misleading. Case in point, The Project Management Podcast episode 161 part 1 and part 2. It is titled “Interview with Gregory Balestrero and Mark Langley” and, with both gentlemen being respectively the outgoing and incoming CEO of the Project Management Institute, I was expecting a bout of corporate spin.
Well, I was wrong. I found the conversation informative and candid; for example, how often do you hear the CEO of a certification body say that certification is not a be-all, end-all? Another subject of interest was the need for planned transition of leadership; a matter that is not often given the attention it deserves.
