I must confess to misappropriating the quote but the shoe did fit...
Thanks for the background information on the quote. I find it particularly funny that the Russians have the same one.
Although I was not a fan of Reagan; I must say he was quite good a driving a point home

Yep. I pretty much have to agree with that. That sums up management to a tee for me. As a manager, you don't have the option to get directly involved in every single decision...that's why you hire your people. While you trust them to do their jobs, however, you need to have the peace of mind that they're doing their jobs well. That's where reporting and questions come in. :-)

Thanks for the comment. Isn't if funny that management ends up playing the part of policeman or parental guidance? Maybe that why no one likes a manager...
